Slowly more and more is being revealed about the second season of The Good Wife as filming in New York has resumed and casting choices are being announced. CBS has revealed that Scott Porter (formerly of Friday Night Lights) has been cast as Blake. Talking to Zap2It Archie gave slight hints of Kalinda’s storyline next season and commented on the increasing selection of boots we will be able to see her wear.

“The character I’m really excited to find out about is my competition … Another person is joining as an investigator.” [...]

“I know they are definitely going to reveal something about her and why she’s so private,” Panjabi says. “I’m guessing it’s going to be some skeletons hidden in the cupboard coming out. It’s going to be a challenge to me to start revealing parts of Kalinda.” [...]

“I call them my magic boots because they help me become her. I really can’t do a scene without them. I’ve tried it and I just can’t do it. They’ve just become so much a part of her that in Season 2, her range of boots has increased. As a character, it’s just something in the walk. They help me so much.” [...]

“Tough times are ahead. I think there’s going to be a lot of tension in the office,” Panjabi says. “We’ve got a third partner coming in … I don’t know that they’ll like it. Everybody’s going to start getting nervous about what’s going to happen there. Definitely some dark stories coming, which I look forward to playing.”

Sounds all very interesting – I was hoping for Blake to turn out to be a pretty lady though. But I guess that would have made the character too similar to Kalinda herself. But hey maybe that means that there is still a good chance for the lovely Jill Flint to return to the show. And revelations about Kalinda’s life will no doubt be interesting.

And he sucked in Friday Night Lights so I’m disappointed they didn’t think someone like Archie deserved better. We’ll see what he’s like on the show but he looks way too young for the part in my opinion.

I haven’t seen him in anything but it would suck if he sucked :C But when I googled his picture I thought he was way too young as well…

I was also disappointed that Blake turned out to be a guy. Hopefully it will be an adversarial relationship with Kalinda ~ NOT a romantic one! It’s just good to know that they are back filming already for season two. Soon season one will be out on DVD and before you know it, the sedond season will be starting. Im so excited!! Can’t wait for the Emmy Awards next month though. I sure hope Archie wins it because no one in that category deserves it more!

AHHHHH!!! I can’t wait for season 2! and I am so happy for Archie that she got an Emmy nod…I really hope with the material this upcoming season that maybe she can garner a golden Globe or SAG nomination…that would just be so awesome!

As for the new editions to the show it will be very interesting to see into the life of Kalinda and how she will get on with this new guy, remember she mentioned how she thinks like a guy so I dont think she will take to him being around very well, I really hope Jill Flint is back because as someone has said, Kalinda aint that straight! lol It would be nice for the new investigator to become a fan of Alicia so Kalinda can get a little jealous…see how she deals with that kind of stuff since she is quite protective of Alicia lol

But I am sure, season 2 will be off the charts…hoepfully CBS announces thier airdates soon, its almost september!!

Margaret: Season Two of THE GOOD WIFE begins on Tuesday, September 28th. I’m already counting the days until the Emmy Awards and now I have more days to count! LOL I just know Season Two is going to be GREAT and I can’t wait to see what is in store for Kalinda! I know it will be interesting and exciting and hopefully we will learn more about Kalinda as the season progresses.
